Rowan Sands Pet Hotel (formerly known as Linvid Pet Hotel) is a family-run pet boarding facility nestled on 2acres of the picturesque West Fife countryside. Run by local dog trainer, James Shields, who has a real passion for animals. James passion for dogs in particular grew from gundog training, starting off with his own labrador retreivers and spaniel breeds. He soon established his love for training and now supports families throughout Fife and beyond with dog behavioral training.
It’s not just James in our small team! Our dedicated family, including wife Danielle and kids Rowan and Sandy ensure that your family pet receives the upmost love and attention they deserve during their stay, whether it's for day boarding or full boarding.
Cats are well catered for in our state-of-the-art heated cattery, hosting 20 individual spaces, where hygiene, security, and comfort are our main priorities.
Dogs are treated to spacious and clean runs which host indoor and outdoor areas. They will be walked daily and during cleaning hours will have access to our on site dog exercise area. No matter how big or how small, your dog is in good hands!

With our day guests we are flexible with drop off and pick up times. Starting work early? No problem? Working late? No problem. Where we have availability we can work with your lifestyle.

A home away from home for your pooch - we’ll look after your dog like it is our own. There is no minimum stay as we realise life happens!
It is preferable for you to keep your dogs eating habits the same when they are with us, so we strongly recommend bringing your own food. However we can provide food if necessary at the cost of £1 per day per dog. Bedding is included in the price but again, if your pooch has a favourite blanket please feel free to bring this along for the stay!

A home away from home for your feline friend - we’ll care for your cat as if they were our own. There’s no minimum stay, as we understand life can be unpredictable!
Our price includes bedding, along with multiple litter trays, and endless cuddles! Of course you’re welcome to bring your cat’s favorite treats and familiar items to help them feel comfortable during their stay. It is preferable for you to keep your cats eating habits the same when they are with us, so we strongly recommend bringing your own food. However we can provide food if necessary at the cost of £1 per day per cat.
